Happy New Year! If you’re like me, I am sitting here wondering how are we already a week into 2015? What happened to all the “catching up” I was going to do during the holidays when things were a bit quieter on the work front? The best laid plans, as they say. Well, ready or not, “Warp Speed” to 2015!
Today, I actually want to look back to last year, not to blow my own horn but more as a lesson for others on how to move forward in life and with your business. 2014 was a great year for me and my business. The first half of the year I started to change my outlook by adopting an attitude of gratitude. Appreciating all that was going on in my life, even if it was the loss of a client, because I knew that it happened so that a different client (or 3!) could come into my life. But it was after my vacation that people started to see a different me. Friends even noticed and commented on it. I was happy, more relaxed, had a bit of confidence that was more noticeable. The second half of the year was a blur – busy beyond my expectations and I was still happy.
So what happened on this vacation, you might ask? Well, for starters, I took a vacation! I went for 2.5 weeks to visit and reconnect with my aunt and cousins in Sweden, and to relax. Those were my two goals … relax and reconnect, anything else would be a bonus. I read a couple of short books that I’d been wanting to read and hadn’t had time for. One was Heaven is for Real and the other was The Secret. The first book reaffirmed my faith in a higher power. The second book was more about letting go of stuff and freeing up your mind to focus on what you want to happen. The power of positive thinking and visualization to manifest what you desire to happen.
The result:
(Gratitude + Belief + Visualization) + Work = Greater Success
So the secret to success, my friends, lies within you. You simply need to open your heart and mind to the possibility and then, in the words of Captain Picard on Star Trek, “Make it so!”
Thank you for reading. I wish you all Peace, Gratitude and Much Success in 2015. If I can be of assistance to help you get there, please contact me!
